Hats and Short Hair?

If you have short hair, should you still wear hats? I know that if you have longer hair (@ least shoulder length), it shows off the style of the hat a bit more. I dont know, I feel like I look like a boy if I show off a new short-do, but have a huge cap on. What do you think? Fashion — does it matter?

I’m having this problem too! I just got my hair cut to a pixie and am having trouble finding a hat that is just the right amount of feminine (but still my style) to get me through this winter season. I think I’ve found a solution as far as a practical way to keep you warm. EAR MUFFS! They are totally cute and come in a range of colors. I’ll be looking for a pair for myself in the next week probably on amazon.com.

I cut my hair from a front angled bob into a shorter style, nothing up front, I have it tucked behind my ears and it looks , aaah, weird, if I push those hairs foreward in front of my ears( too short). I had made myself a few hats over the past few years and they looked great before, now, they swallow up what hair I have left and am just a face with a hat on! However, I found a style that works for me, it is the “Baker Boy Style Hat”( knit pattern) online. I tried a similar style on at a store and it fit the bill. Don’t know why, it just does. I am going to be casting on for that hat today.
I wouldn’t give up hats altogether just because your hair is short now.
I have thought of the earmuffs thing( headbands still look like a hat on my face so that doesn’t fly for “style” either), but I’d need something on the majority of my head to keep me warm.
    Have fun experimenting with styles!
